Local auto sales beat monthly averages during December

With one week still remaining for the month totals, Kent Williams, manager at Bob King Auto Mall, said the government bailout has helped December sales beat this year's monthly average by nearly forty percent. “It certainly has given some consumer confidence out there which has then still put some people out on the lot, and took advantage of some of these great opportunities we have right now.” Williams said the sales have also been helped by GMAC's announcement to ease the qualifications for financing. The combination has helped Bob King's dealership to sell the second most cars in the southeast region among GMC dealerships.
