A scaled down replica of the Vietnam Wall is ready for visitors in Wilmington. A dedication ceremony was held Thursday morning in Ogden Park, where "The Wall That Heals" is set up through the weekend. Veterans, their families, active duty military members, and city officials were among the many in attendance. The ceremony included recognition of mothers and sisters of deceased veterans, and a massing of the colors. Vietnam vet Harry Borneman brought his grandson. "I’m a veteran, a Vietnam veteran, and I really haven't had anything to do with being a veteran up until right now. I'm under V.A. Health care and I see what they're trying to do for the veterans, so I’m changing my tune a little bit." The wall will be on display through Sunday. It's open 24-hours-a-day and admission is free. The Cape Fear Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans was instrumental in bringing The Wall That Heals to Wilmington.
