New Hanover County deputies are looking for the man who robbed the B.P. Gas Center on North College Road just after 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. A white male approached the clerk, demanded money and then ran toward a trailer park.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30’s with light brown hair. He was wearing a white cap, white sweatshirt and khaki pants.
A nearby business owner was concerned about the afternoon robbery. “I'm always looking over my shoulder and this proves it, right in the middle of the day right next door,” said Marilyn Robbins of Ollie’s Coffee and Donuts. “Yeah it's scary. We have employees and I'm sure they are concerned.”
The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Detectives believe he may have been hanging around the gas station prior to the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department.

Within A Mile
This was a crime of convenience and the robber probably lives within a mile of the store. Where is the surveillance tape of the robber? It could also be an inside job as well.
