The SBI will begin digging for clues in a sixty-seven year old murder case next month. Leila and Mary Rachel Brian of Carolina Beach disappeared in 1941; no one has heard from them since. There are many theories surrounding their disappearance, but many believe Layla and her young daughter were murdered and buried under their house. The current owner of 214 Raleigh Avenue is cooperating with the investigation. On January 17, 2009, the SBI will begin digging under the house for clues.

the murder case

i think it is great how they are going to try and fine the remains of the mother and little girl. after all these years there needs to be justice for their famliy and for them. this crime happen a long time ago but that little girl never got a chance to get married and have a family of her own. her mother will nver know what grandchildren are like. its high time the person or persons who did this are behind bars. i hope they find who this. if anyone knows any thing about this cold case should come forward and tell the police.
