Displaced bookstore looks for help moving in

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A Wilmington bookstore is ready to move into a new location. Months after being forced to move because its old building was leaning, Old Books on Front Street's new store is getting some finishing touches.

The store is looking for volunteers to help get all of the books out of storage and onto the shelves for the holiday season.

"We have to get 150,000 books out of storage and onto the shelves in some kind of logical order, which is an undertaking I can't really fathom the magnitude of," managing partner Gwenyfar Rohler said. "We're not asking people to come for the whole day. We're asking for one hour. Please come for an hour. Pick your favorite author, shelve their books in alphabetical order. That would be wonderful."

If you would like to help at the new location at 249 North Front Street in Downtown Wilmington, the fun starts Friday evening. For more information visit
