I think this is totally CRAZY!!! This is one of the reasons why I NEVER go downtown. I'm fairly new to the area and would love to get downtown more, but I cannot stand paying so much to park & half the time the meter takes my money and it NEVER registers. But yet they are fast to slap you with a ticket.

What is wrong with the city of wilmington??? they want people to shop and diner downtown but yet they want to keep raising parking..
It doesn't make any sense... but wait since when does the city council make sense?

When was the last time they raised rates? In fact I think it's now cheaper than ever to park in one of the parking decks -- you get to park for free for 90 minutes. I always park there when I go downtown.
