I think they will reach a last minute solution, even though this is not what needs to happen. Obama and his liberal spending group need to get the message that the American people are fed up with their spending policies, which are bankrupting the country.

Okay, while I am not one to rant and rave about Obama, however BOTH parties are to blame for this mess. The two parties are arguing over discretionary spending, which only makes up 12% of the federal budget. You read in the headlines that billions, if not trillions, will be saved over a period of decades; this is just kicking the can down the preverbal "road". Congress has not even begun to approach the enormous issues of entitlements or any of the other 5 ton elephants in the room. Our government on all levels (Federal, State & local) are like crackheads, and in this case the "crack" being a metaphor for money, so to use the line from Charlie Sheen in his infamous television interview, "I was banging 7 gram rocks, because thats how I roll". However, the voters are the only ones that can send the government to rehab, but I don't see that happening anytime soon because in general Americans don't even understand the concept of a budget let alone economics. Research the average national savings rate for the U.S and it will be around 5% and then look up China's and it hovers comfortably around 38%+. For me, the savings rate is a snap shot of the American mentality when it comes to money, it ain't purdy.

Response to (Robert):
This is not true for many other Americans who realize over the past years if it had not been from the frivilous spending from the last administration (that placed this country in over one trillion dollar deficit), we would not be in the situation that we are currently facing today.
On the day Obama took office, the national debt was:
$10,626,877,048,913.08
At the end of Obama's first year in office, the national debt was:
$12,327,380,804,696. 82
Right now, half-way through the Obama Administration, the national debt is
$14,474,807,055,399.00
Now, let's look at the annual deficits:
FY 2008 (Bush's last year in office) the deficit was under $500 billion. In 2009, Obama's first year in office, it was well over $1 trillion. In 2010 it climbed even more. This year, 2011, the deficit will top $1.5 trillion.
Bush was certainly no Godsend when it came to fiscal conservancy, but Obama and his wealth redistribution cronies in the Senate are spending money like drunken sailors in Olongapo after six months at sea. There WERE no trillion dollar deficits until the Democrats won the Senate, House, and White House in 2008.

Ive always felt that the Federal Government has always robed the American people of their money. Every time you turn around they are taxing us for this and for that. Not only that how many of the members of the federal Government have had to struggle just to pay bills, put food on the table keep a roof over their heads? How many of them have had to go to the department of social services and apply for welfare just to servive in this world? Not to say the school systems. I have always believed that the federal Government causes more problems for the American people and that the federal Government is a waste of the American people time, and money. Its us that pay taxes that give the federal Government what they have now. This country would be much better off without the high class society people in the Federal Government. Oh and please lets not forget the millions of American people who are homeless and disabled.
WOW
Can you believe 30% voted "Don't Know/Don't Care"?.
Congratulations.. you're officially part of the problem!

The most truthful thing you said was "some truth".Why not tell the whole truth?
