Driver is lucky after attempting to multi-task on the road

A driver in Brunswick County Sunday got an important lesson on multi-tasking behind the wheel. The driver was heading west on US 74-76 when he reached down to try and find a pen to write down a phone number. He said the next thing he knew, his car was stuck in the trees. The man said he was traveling about 75 miles an hour when the crash happened. He walked away unhurt.

How fast?

75 mph on 74/76 in Brunswick County? I believe that is 20 mph over the posted limit. Obviously not paying attention to a few things..

The driver isn't the only lucky one. I hope the driver realizes he could have easily killed himself and/or some innocent bystander because of his carelessness. He is lucky to walk away unhurt, but I sincerely hope he received a citation for his careless and reckless driving.
