Edwards to face off against Rove in public debate

READ MORE:
RALEIGH -- Two-time presidential candidate John Edwards is continuing his return to the public stage by debating Republican strategist Karl Rove. The Commercial Finance Association said the two will hold a point-counterpoint discussion Thursday in San Francisco. They will discuss the election and the economy. It will be Edwards' second public event since he acknowledged in August that he had an affair back in 2006. His appearance in Indiana on Tuesday did not address the matter. Thursday's meeting puts an odd and perhaps contentious pair on the same stage. During his presidential campaign, Edwards repeatedly called for President Bush to fire Rove. When Rove resigned from the White House in 2007, Edwards issued a simple statement, saying "Goodbye, good riddance." (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.

Poor Lil' Johnny

He's reduced to debating an unemployed, inconsequential Pillsbury Dough-Boy. Anything to get back in the public eye. How else is he going to attract the young babes? Perhaps if this doesn't work, he can contact Vince McMahon and see if there's a spot for him in the WWE. (I can here him crying himself to sleep every night. "BOOO-HOOOOO....they picked a Marxist and it wasn't ME!")

He could

always go back and resume being a blood sucking plaintiff attorney. But this time he could donate all of his fees to fighting the battles of homelessness and hunger. Another plan would be to declare his Figure 8 Island home as a primary residence and run for Senator Bosemen's seat when her legal woes wind down in a year or so. Why everyone is beating him up is beyond me. Even former President Jimmy Carter admitted to an incident or 2 of lusting in his heart. Boy I am showing my age when I drag that up. Of course a final thought might be he could focus on being a TV evangelist like Jimmy Swaggert. Go on TV; admit his sinful ways on the air; cry a lot. Hech he could do the show from his Castle near Chapel Hill. Let's hope he doesn't write a tell all book.
