Edwards rolls out education policy

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is rolling out a policy to reform the nation's primary education.

The former North Carolina senator has proposed paying teachers up to $15,000 more in high poverty areas and initiating universal preschool.

Edwards will detail his plans this afternoon at a Des Moines middle school.

A copy of the policy statement was provided to The Associated Press.

Edwards says giving all children an equal chance to get a quality education is a commitment that is the core of his plan to build One America "where everyone has a chance to succeed."

comrade johnnie

Maybe comrade johnnie will scale down his mansion a little and give the saved cash to the teachers. He always has such great plans to spread the wealth except for what is in his own account. Yours is his to spend.

You never know. Maybe this idea of paying our teachers more is what they need to better help our children to succeed through school......

Edwards and education

If this bozo gets elected, it will be an even greater incentive to send your children to private school. Reject the forced Socialist brainwashing of American public education!
