Elected officials meet in Brunswick Co.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Politicians and newly elected leaders met on Tuesday night and talked about the future of Brunswick County.

The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce hosted the party in Leland. The guest list included Sheriff John Ingram, State Senator-elect Bill Rabon and District Attorney-elect Jon David. They talked about the economic future of Brunswick County and plans to move the area forward.

"It's important that we synchronize everyone and get everyone on the same page and know that we all need to work together towards making Brunswick County and help Brunswick County progress economically," said Franklin Rouse, who works for the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce.

Organizers say their main mission is to improve the quality of life in Brunswick County.
