At Least They Weren't Reading A Bible

Good thing they weren't reading a bible or praying or they would have really been in trouble then. If they had been doing that this story would have been on Good Morning America on the Evening News with Katie Curic.

I'm so glad we have religion out of schools. It is such a terrible influence on our young people. To go through life with that imposition of religion on their on their development.

At least this way they can get first hand knowledge about the effects of drugs and the court system at the same time. This is a really good learning opportunity.

Today Society

Children in are society are getting introduce to new things everyday! Its just a thing in are generation. It dont matter how old you are or what grade you are in their just trying to be like there peers in highschool or older friends. THey think that if its okay for them to do it and they dont get caught they can do it and its not right. What ever happened to DARE in schools. And its not neccesairly saying there going to do it when they get older you never know its diffrent with some kids maybe they will take this expiernce as a lesson learned.

I am not shocked

I am not shocked by what is written here. We need to stop blaming and start doing. There is a real problem in our schools, neighborhoods, business, every day life. Until people start to own up to what they do and say. nothing is going to change. There shouldn't even be a schools where kids act different need to be ship out of the schools, If all of us carried a little more and fix the problems what every they maybe, home life, no money, to much money etc... Stand up for something or you will fall for anything. AND we need to stand up for our kids,,,

In a few years...

I bet that in a few years, these two will be arrested for drugs, pictures put up on the news, probably kill someone while doing something stupid and high...

AND the only thing that posters on this website will write, and I quote...
"But (insert name here) was such a good child. He\She never got in trouble. He\she never had a drug issue, never been arrested. He\she is my best friend and I could never see this happen to him\her."

I agree with SurfCityTom, we need to look at the parents in this situation. The parents are responsible in this case. Why did these parents breed, if they were going to expose their children to this atmosphere. At this age, this kind of conduct is learned from the parents, no where else.

I guess I know the future of my tax dollars being wasted on these kids.

While they

are processing the students, perhaps they ought to be interviewing the parents and conducting in-depth at home inspections to determine exactly where the young miscreants located the drugs or found the cash to acquire the drugs.

Let's hope also these youngsters are not allowed back at this facility.

Perhaps if the parents spend a year chauffering the youngsters to a more intensely supervised environment, they will learn something about parental monitoring of children activities.

wow...and this is a school

wow...and this is a school we made a magnet...put incredible amounts of money into it to make it an 'engineering school'. Imaging putting that money into aspiring schools with kids with unlimited imaginations and talents...WHERE IS THE BALANCE??????Enough giving these low performing area schools this incredible technology.......Give it to the ones who will lead our future!!! They will not be the weed dealers...GET REAL! I am a public school teacher with a youngster who will attend private school due to the disadvantages local schools provide to the mainstream. This is soooooooooo wrong on so many levels. I don't care what your SES is, it should be about determination and perserverence. Personally, I came from a very low SES, but worked hard to show my abilities. Give the kids who care the resources and you will end up with the most educateed leaders....

Oh my....

How sad that you choose to represent public school teachers this way. You are SO incredibly ignorant, I feel sorry for the children whose lives you 'touch' every day. I work at Snipes, and I understand FIRST hand the need for resources and opportunities in disadvantaged areas. Most of these children don't have positive role models at home. Most of the young boys look up to older brothers, cousins, and uncles who make a living hustling on the street. Most of the young girls are products of teenage mothers who yearn to be nothing more than the same when they 'grow up'. So giving these children a CHANCE to lead our future-giving them an extra boost in their young lives- allowing them to go to school where they are exposed to a few extra things, like dance and drama- is that REALLY so out of balance?? You have written them off before they're even in their double digits! How sad for YOU and for them. Have you ever heard of institutionalized racism? YOU lead that institution my dear. I hope it's a happy position.

Wow

It is no wonder our children have a hard time learnig. This is the most judgmental comment I've read in a ling time. As a parent of a child who attends the inner-city school, it never ceases to amaze me the level of prejudice that our kids are faced w/ from their so-called educators. Not all of these families and children are intrenched in this type of activity and there are MANY of them who "care" about their future and education. It is high time that they are presented w/ the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their zip code. Maybe the reason our schools are constantly failing the necessary requirements of the No Child Left Behind is not the children. Maybe we need to evaluate their educators. If this is indicative of the way the individuals that are supposed to be teaching our children feels, then you're right: our children WILL NEVER succeed. Let's just pray that your child will not grow up to disappoint you on the future, my dear...

for you to an educator that

for you to an educator that comment wasn't to bright it really doesn't matter where live or go to schoolbecause there are drug dealers and users in all walks of life.and whose to say that one day your precious son will not be a dealer or user.........

wow???????? and you're a teacher?

Good luck with that one. You, as a "public school teacher"-should realize that there is no way possible to shield your child from things of this nature just because you enroll them in private school. I enrolled my child in private school his first yr of high school and there were more dealings of this nature than at the public school he would have attended. These are CHILDREN and clearly these young students should not be just written off as "miscreants" because their home life may not be as positive as maybe yours. You have NO IDEA (Nor do I) what type of environment these children wake up to every day. Seriously, you think there is just no hope for these kids, even at their obvious young age? If thats the case then I shudder to think that you are actually "teaching" our students. Get a grip, maybe a heart and think about the real root of the problem as opposed to being pissed off that the money gone into this school didnt go into your own.

Great kids. Most have a

Great kids. Most have a great home life. Guess we know what they are taught at home.

ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES

SMASHING THESE KIDS PARENTS IS WRONG. YOU DONT EVEN KNOW IF THEY GOT IT FROM HOME. COULD BE A NEIGBOR. AND THE PARENTS MIGHT NOT KNOW THAT THE NEIGBOR EVEN SMOKES POT.
STOP SMASHING FOLKS BEFORE YOU GET THE FACTS.
AND BESIDES. POT IS NOT A DRUG, ITS A PLANT PUT HERE BY GOD. NEXT YOU ARE GOING TO SMASH GOD. HE IS THE ONE THAT GAVE IT TO US.
WEED HAS NEVER KILLED ANY ONE.
WE ARE STILL RAPPED UP IN THE LIES OF REEFER MADNESS ARNT WE?
I AGREE THAT KIDS UNDER 18 SHOULD NOT SMOKE POT. BUT THE REAL DEAL IS. POT HELPS US ALL IN SO MANY WAYS. IT KEEP SUISIDE DOWN, IT KEEPS MURDERS DOWN, IT WILL EZZ YOUR PAIN FOR CANCER, AS WELL AS MINTAL ILLNESS,IT HELPS PEOPLE TO SLOW DOWN A LITTLE TO SMELL THE ROSES.WE PEOPLE HAVE TURNED POT INTO A MONSTER. WHEN IN FACT ITS A ANGEL. PUT HERE BY GOD TO HELP MAN. IT IS GREAD AS WELL AS SATEN THAT HAS TRICKED YOU INTO TO THINKING ITS BAD.

I'm

SHOCKED...students breaking the law...all they have to do is look at their leadership and the GREAT examples they put forth and they would see the error of their ways....OOooH...wait...never mind...
