ESPN host Mike Tirico speaks at networking club

CHARLOTTE -- One of Charlotte's top business networking groups has invited ESPN radio and TV host Mike Tirico over for breakfast. The Charlotte Observer reports that Tirico is the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Hood Hargett Breakfast Club early Friday morning at Carmel Country Club. Hood Hargett Breakfast Club executive director Jenn Snyder said the event should draw interest because of the speaker, but also because networking is even more important for people looking for sales or jobs during the recession. The club's session Friday also will include a pep rally for the Carolina Panthers, who host an NFL playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night.
