Evangelist Billy Graham experiences more intestinal bleeding

ASHEVILLE (AP) -- Officials at an Asheville, North Carolina, hospital say evangelist Billy Graham has experienced more intestinal bleeding today.

A statement from Mission Health & Hospitals says the latest episode occurred around 8:30 this morning. The hospital says the bleeding was brief and Graham's condition quickly stabilized. He was said to be fully alert.

Prior to this morning's incident, the hospital said Graham had an "excellent night." He's listed in fair condition, but family members said he'd been up and walking.

The 88-year-old evangelist's wife, Ruth Bell Graham, died in June following a following a lengthy illness.
