CLINTON, N.C. -- A former North Carolina middle school teacher accused of having sex with a 15-year-old student has been arrested again after police found her with the same boy.
Jeannie Michelle Hodges resigned as a language arts teacher from Hobbton Middle School just before she was charged in July with statutory rape and accused of having an affair with a former student. Released on bond, the 40-year-old Autryville woman was ordered to stay away from the boy.
But WRAL-TV reports Friday that Hodges was arrested Aug. 30 after authorities stopped her car at a checkpoint. The teen was driving, and Hodges was in the passenger seat.
Hodges was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and allowing an unlicensed driver to drive. She was released on bond, but prosecutors say her initial bond could now be revoked.

COULD be revoked?
It SHOULD have been revoked immediately upon her second arrest. There should be a statuatory provision in state law for immediate revokation of bond for ANY crime upon a subsequent arrest.
What gives?
I don't understand these teachers that get involved with students. What are they thinking? Is the sex worth losing your career over and going to jail for? A teacher is a person of authority and is supposed to be helping students, but instead helping themselves to the students? This is ridiculous and new laws need to be introduced to put a stop to this. Make the laws stronger and get these predators off the street. And yes, they are predators!!!!! This woman is a predator of the worst kind - those that are entrusted with our children and then do something like this!! Where are the boy's parents? Someone needed to keep a better eye on this boy!! Many years ago, someone would have taken a man or woman who messed with their child out behind the barn and beat them!! Sometimes I wonder if we shouldn't go back to that type of justice!!!!!!
What?
I just want to know where these teachers were when I was in school?
