Experts concerned about low lake levels

READ MORE:
North Carolina water conservation experts and others are becoming increasingly concerned about low lake levels. Raleigh's mayor says there is slightly more than one-hundred days of usable water in Falls Lake. If the supply dwindles to about two months stricter conservation measures may be imposed, including asking businesses to use paper plates and plastic utensils and flush restrictions on homeowners. But before it comes to that, Lake Benson or the Neuse River could be tapped. Experts also say it's possible to treat water from a sedimentation pool for use as drinking water in an emergency.
