The Cape Fear Serpentarium in Downtown Wilmington houses over 40 venomous species of snakes, 5 large bays featuring giant constrictors, and 3 species of crocodile. It is operated by by expert herpetologist Dean Ripa. Our own resident reptile wrangler George Elliot payed him a visit today.
With the Labor Day holiday coming up and some folks getting an early start, we decided to send our resident beach comber George Elliott down to the beach to talk to people spending time in the sand.

For the past couple of months you've been bringing in items to help Step Up For Soldiers send packages from home. Today, volunteers braved the hot weather and boxed up all those items to ship overseas to our troops. George Elliott met up with them to see how it was going.
