It was a special day at the Poplar Grove Farmer's Market. Parents and their children got to pet some farm animals, ride a horse, and explore the market. The market also featured arts and crafts and free food samples. Public relations director Jeanne Walker says Poplar Grove wanted to do something special to mark the end of summer. "The parents like the farmer's market because it's a great environment so it's kind of our way of doing something for the public and sort of thanking them for patronizing the farmer's market and poplar grove," said Walker. The most popular attraction at the event was the pony ride. Kids and their parents waited for their chance to take a ride on Knick-Knack or Hershey Bar. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the beautiful weather.
