The family of a woman killed in an Ocean Isle Beach parasailing accident is suing the company and boat owners. Fifty-four-year-old Lorrie Shoup, and Cynthia Woodcock died after the rope tying them to a boat broke, sending them into the water. A lawsuit filed in federal court by Shoup's family alleges negligence on the part of Ocean Isle Watersports, the company that owned the boat, and N.C Watersports, which leased it. The companies previously tried to limit liability in this case to $100,000. The Shoup family attorney is seeking to dismiss the limit, and wants permission to sue in state court.

I hope that they let me on

I hope that they let me on the jury, the family deserves somewhere between 0.00 and 20,000.00 MAX. S/F ROGER FLEMING

The Blame

Blame also has to be the people that got killed fault. I know if I wanted to go parasailing and the weather looked rough, I would use my judgment and not go.. both parties are equal blame.

Someone has their head where

Someone has their head where the sun don't shine.

Personal Responsibility

Need I say more?

bad-weather

looking at the t.v. news report I would say the weather was too bad to do what they were trying to do. And the boat operater should have know that........... Hate thae it happened but we got to take care of our vistors they don't know what is normal or not and the weather was not normal that day. sorry. It was too windy to do what they were doing!!!!

COMMON

sense would have scared me out of doing something like this on a windy day...but we are living in a nanny state where everything is SOMEONE elses fault.
