Father's Day Activities

READ MORE: Father's Day Activities
For all that dad did, how do we thank him on his special day? Some local kids said they tell their dads that they love him and give him a hug. Wilmington resident Annette Lloyd says she took her husband for a walk down the river front at the request of Dad. Jason Davenport shows his love by buying a card and visiting his father. Ricky Hook’s wife says she got her husband everything he wanted. Ricky jokingly disagrees and says, "I wanted a motorcycle, but I got a motorcycle video. So it was close." Richard Connors says he likes creative gifts, "whether it is action adventure toys like a kayak or a plasma TV, forget the ties and the shirts and the sandals and socks." Maybe the best gift does not cost a penny. Conners says, the best gift is "time with my family which is what I'm getting in spades and God's blessed us with a beautiful day." Bob Parke held his three-year-old son and said he already has everything he could ever want. Jason Davenport agrees, "I'm here with my son and my dad, so it really doesn't get any better than that." Happy Father's Day dads! This day is all about you, relax, get outside, and most importantly enjoy the time with your family.
