It is crunch time for local state senate candidates as they try to grab as many votes as they can in the final hours leading up to Election Day. Republican candidate Bettie Fennel and Democratic Senator R.C. Soles took the day to tie up loose ends, but not without reflecting back on the campaign trail. "This has not been the hardest campaign I've ever run but it has been the ugliest campaign I've ever been involved in, and I'm sorry it has come to that situation," said Senator Soles. Bettie Fennell is feeling optimistic about her first campaign. "I think it went great. I can tell you I haven't been so inspired by the people who have come up to me, that have congratulated me for running." Two completely different reactions, from two candidates who chose to use piercing television ads jab at their opponent. Hours before the polls open, it is clear Bettie Fennell and R.C. Soles are prepared to fight till the end. On the final day before the elections, both candidates spent their time making last minute connections with voters, both on the phone and in person. Both candidates did say the group of volunteers on their campaigns will be stationed at all the poll sites Tuesday, handing out last minute flyers, and showing support.

Soles/Fennell

Betty Fennell is a nut case. Please tell me how much time she has spent in government? Being a reporter does not qualify you.

Soles is a "has been"

It time to move past having a gay Senator to represent us in from a part of NC that doesn't admit that he is gay and a Democrat. He still makes Clinton look like a choir boy when it comes to molesting pages of the Senate. Every scandal gets swept under the rug with a large broom made of money. If the liberal press didn't have his back every time being bought off then the truth would have been out 30 years ago. The Col-Cor happened. It made him a big name and a political machine. Too bad its a Democrat politician that is gay rubbing up next to Columbus county good 'ol boys, they can't admit they were ever wrong. Bwahahahahah!

AMEN BROTHER! Let's hope

AMEN BROTHER! Let's hope this freak gets booted out!

so

use your vote to make him a Former. Unfortunately, the Republican Party did not put up an electable candidate. Guess that gives the Democrats 2 years to find a youthful, electable, reputable candidate. Note to Republicans: read above quote and take action.
