Fire damages apartment complex

WILMINGTON -- A fire late Thursday night at a Wilmington apartment complex left half of the apartments severely damaged. Fire officials responded to Canterbury Woods around 11:45 p.m. after a resident called police. Officials say none of the apartments were destroyed, but eight of them will need extensive repairs. Firefighters knocked on doors to evacuate residents. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters say they do not suspect arson. No one was injured in the blaze Apartment resident Robert Cerosuolo said, "Someone just recently moved out of there supposedly they were fixing the air-conditioning unit and cleaning the apartment."
