PENDER COUNTY -- Three months after there looked to be a ray of hope for workers at the Coty plant in Rocky Point, workers are now not so sure about their future. Employees at the plant tell WWAY management told them this morning that New Jersey-based Medicia, which said in December it was considering buying the plant, has decided not to make the purchase.
Workers say they were told at least part of the plant will stay open until November. They were also told the company is looking at six other potential buyers for the plant, formerly known as Del Laboratories.
Tune in to WWAY NewsChannel 3 tonight for more.

bad management
Del labs moved the plant to NC from NY to get cheaper labor.
Well they had the cheaper labor and still are doing poor.
Sounds like bad management is sinking this ship.
Maybe
her Highness should have spent time focused on this plant rather than take over 20 of her close personal cohorts out to Hollywood.
Not only has she no vision on how to correct problems; she apparently has no idea what the problems are.
But not to worry, she's coming to Wilmington to outline how jobs can be saved and created. I wonder whose play book she borrowed?
del labs
Man its bad everything is going down but this plant needs to go down because they are very slick and they don't know how to treat there workers. They give us no respect work us like dogs and its not right and I prefer the plant to go down or find new mangers
