FIRST ON 3 UPDATE: Campaign ad cancellation news to Redwine; Agency decides to keep ads running

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) - After talking with David Redwine, who's running for R.C. Soles's State Senate Seat (District 8) and his campaign's ad agency, we're told by both that the cancellation of the TV campaign ads this afternoon was a misunderstanding. The agency has re-placed an order for next week through election night.

Earlier today, Redwine's Washington, DC based agency called our Sales Department and canceled three weeks of ads, from October 12th through Election Day. When we talked with Redwine, he said he was unaware of the cancellation.

Redwine is running against Dr. Bill Rabon.

Probably because is does not want to waste any more of his money. Last time I check...he had raised little to no money for his campaign...so he must have funded these adds himself. The CIVITAS Polls last week that had him down 19 points...probably lead to this financial decision.
