Former Calabash town administrator arrested

The former Calabash town administrator was arrested Tuesday morning. Thirty year old Jeremy Cribb was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses and four counts of embezzlement by a public official. All charges are felonies and result from a six week investigation led by Brunswick County District Attorney Rex Gore. Cribb resigned from his post last month amidst allegations that he fabricated his resume.

Another Tabor City boy makes the news. When it comes to corruption, it appears that we have the market cornered these days. It might be fascinating to learn who recommended Mr. Cribb for the Calabash Town Manager position. Politics makes for strange bedfellers...
