Is your four-legged friend up to date on rabies shots?
Already this year five cases of rabies have been confirmed in New Hanover County. The latest case was in a dead raccoon, found on Friday by a resident of Old Military Road.
If your pet has not been vaccinated for rabies, New Hanover County residents can take advantage of a free rabies clinic this weekend.
It is taking place Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Animal Control on Division Drive.
Dogs, cats and ferrets are welcome.
