The Azalea Festival is big business in our area. Each year money from the Azalea Garden Tour goes back to the community, and you may be able to get some of it. The Cape Fear Garden Club still needs applicants for the $68,000 of grant money it has from the Garden Tour. The money goes to schools and other groups to help beautify New Hanover County through landscaping and gardens. "I think in today's time we need a place to be uplifted," the Garden Club's Cathy Poulos said. "A garden is a place to just be encouraged and enjoy our creation that we live in that God's given us." The deadline to apply is Monday. The application is available on the Cape Fear Garden Club's website.
