Gastonia burglary leads to death of South Carolina serial killer

Residents of Gaffney, South Carolina can rest easier after police shot and killed a man suspected in a serial killing spree. South Carolina law enforcement officials have identified Patrick Burris as the suspect. Officials say Burris was a felon with a lengthy record and was paroled in April after seven years in prison. The 41-year old was shot by police responding to a burglary complaint in Gastonia, North Carolina early yesterday morning. Police say bullets in his gun matched those used to kill residents in nearby Gaffney, South Carolina.
