Governor Perdue orders flags lowered to half-staff


Governor Perdue has joined President Obama in ordering all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff immediately and through sunset Friday, January 14, in tribute to those injured and killed in the Tucson tragedy this past weekend. Additionally, she calls on all North Carolina citizens to join in the National Moment of Silence to be led by President Obama at 11 a.m. today at the White House.

All employees of the Department of Administration join Governor Perdue in honoring the innocent who lost their lives, the injured who fight for survival, their families and the selfless bystanders and rescuers who helped to limit the scope of this senseless tragedy.

Sounds like unfair treatment because a congressman was wounded. Flags haven't been lowered when average people get killed.
