Governor's office offers reward in woman's death

READ MORE:
RALEIGH -- The Governor's Office is offering a reward for information in the death of a North Carolina woman found dead in her driveway. Gov. Beverly Perdue's office said Friday a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case of 28-year-old Charity Simpson Worley. She was found dead in her Hendersonville driveway Dec. 17. An autopsy report said she died from a blow to the head. Investigators have said they believe Worley knew her attacker, and they may have recovered the weapon used to beat her. A 911 caller said Worley had been run over by her sport utility vehicle. Investigators said evidence at the crime scene did not match the story given by the caller. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
