Governor Bev Perdue vetoed her first bill Thursday. House Bill 104 is "an act to clarify legislative confidentiality." It would have made some public records private.

Perdue said the changes are not in line with her goals of transparency and accountability.

She must now call a special session by September 20th to give the legislature a chance to override the veto, unless a majority of each House says the session is unnecessary.
