Greenfield Lake Park Amphitheater re-opens

READ MORE:
Some call it the "peoples park". New Hanover County's Greenfield Lake Park Amphitheater reopened today. The city received a $1.2 million park grant to make major improvements to the theater. The changes include a new awning over the stage to protect actors from the elements, a state of the art dressing room, bathroom, and concession stand. Actors from the play "Shakespeare on the Greens" perform every year at the theater. They were happy about the new changes. "Shakespeare on the Green" actor Danielle Bringard said, "It's so exciting. We went from having this flat stage, to having this covered theater, with dressing rooms. That's unheard of." This is the 16th season for the play. The actors will perform in the new theater throughout the month of June starting next Friday at 8 p.m.
