Hard Rock Park taking job applications in SC

READ MORE:
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Hard Rock Park is accepting applications to fill up to 1,000 jobs in order to reopen by Memorial Day. The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports the new owners of the rock 'n' roll theme park opened applications Monday to all job seekers. Former employees began applying two weeks ago. Park spokeswoman Erin Barrett says the park has already received about 1,000 applications for the 750 to 1,000 jobs available. But no one has been hired yet. Barrett says interviews will be scheduled over the next few weeks. A federal bankruptcy judge approved the sale of Hard Rock Park last month for $25 million to a group of investors. The $400 million, 55-acre park opened last April. But it had closed by September, as its former owners declared bankruptcy. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
