Championship Game

Will this game be televised in the Eastern NC area? If so, on which channel?

Harnett Central "Attempts" To Switch Game Time...

"...The Harnett coach has been very adamant. He doesn't want to play us on a wet field...". Nice try, Sparky... but don't flatter yourself. First of all, the field at HC is destroyed...It is located in a practical flood zone and barely has a blade of turf left. And in case no one's seen the weather, we may get another 1-2 inches of rain on Wed. Secondly, HC is currently undergoing school renovations that have turned an already small parking lot into a chaotic mess...maybe enough parking for 300 vehicles, max. Attendance at last week's game (at Campbell) was over 5000, and expect more this week. Thirdly, this would be HC's THIRD playoff appearance this year at the Campbell field. Please don't flatter yourselves by thinking that this is for some kind of "advantage"...in fact, HC just played there LAST WEEK, and hosted (and beat) one of the area's most explosive offenses...Middle Creek.(Some say that the artificial turf should have benefited THEM). And lastly, HC is the top seed, posting an undefeated record. This EARNS them the right to homefield ADVANTAGE. They can decide whatever they wish...period. If NH were the top seed, they could call the shots...but unfortunately they're not. Bottom line, just play the darn game, quit teaching kids how to make excuses for everything that doesn't go their way, and just play the darn game! May the best team win on Saturday, and congratulations to BOTH programs for their success this season!

Harnett Central changing game location and time

What kind of pride can there be in a win that comes only because a field is so muddy that a high school football game degenerates into a rugby match? HC has gone undefeated and obtained a high bracket placement which gives them "home field advantage". I'd get ready for a Saturday game.
