Health fair offers screenings

Staying healthy was the tip for the day at an area health fair on Saturday.

New Hanover Regional Medical Center partnered with Brunswick Forest to host the event as about a dozen vendors were on hand top provide health information.

The event offered blood pressure, diabetes, and vision screenings.

Iris Baker, New Hanover Regional Outreach Coordinator said, "One of the things you want to do is get the information and make the changes in your lifestyle so you can avoid going to the doctor for health problems."

The health fair was a way to promote health and wellness for everyday goals, not just New Year's resolutions.
