Holly Shelter Middle School dedicated

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- It's been open since the start of the school year, but today students and staff celebrated the new Holly Shelter Middle School.

School board members helped dedicate the new school in Castle Hayne. Students sang about their new school and new dreams. The fresh start and new supplies really have kids excited.

"Some schools don't even have technology, so we're really grateful for having technology, for computers for doing research projects and different things," 8th grader Brady Koonce said.

Holly Shelter was built with money from a 2005 school bond referendum.
