Authorities recovered a body floating in the Greenfield Lake Sunday morning. Dispatch received a call around 8:30 Sunday morning from people who saw the body floating in the lake. Police believe the body is a homeless man. Police say the man died of natural causes and fell into the lake. After speaking with people who knew the man, police learned he may have had a medical problem. Wilmington Police Detective Michael Overton said, "I spoke with some friends of his who saw him earlier this morning, and he said he wasn't feeling well and was going to the hospital." I used to be homeless but thanks to God and the Salvation Army I now am happily married and we live in a nice apartment. I went through the year long program there, "Homeward Bound." If anyone out there is homeless and you happen to read this, know that there is help and hope ! Another agency that helped me was "Community Support Professionals." They are a good source for someone who is looking to regain there place in society. If anyone reads this and knows of someone that needs help, please pass this info on to them. God Bless you all.
