Investigation lands detention officer in jail

A Pender County Sheriff's Office investigation has ended with the arrest of a detention officer. Thirty-three-year-old Sherwood Anthony Pickett faces multiple charges, including extortion and solicitation for crimes against nature. The victim in this case is an inmate who showed up late for serving a weekend jail sentence. He was told to go home, and the officer allegedly followed him there. Pickett is being held in a jail outside Pender County, under $150,000 bond.

Law enforcement is suppose

Law enforcement is suppose to protect and serve. Why is it that some think they are above the law and can do as they please because they wear a badge? For what this officer did, he should be prosecuted. Let him see what it is like on the other side of the bars.
