Ashley high school's athletic director Roy Turner introduced the Eagles' new head football coach this afternoon. Thirty-four-year-old Jason Tindal will take over for Dylan Dimock, who resigned in February. Dimock had been the school's only coach in the history of the football program. Tindal spent the last five years coaching at Raleigh Sanderson. “Being familiar with the Wilmington area, I always thought since Ashley opened, I always thought it provided a lot of the necessities to be successful, obviously on the field and off the field, facilities, location, the type of young men that are here.” Tindal will try to help the Eagles soar above their 3-8 record last season. He'll get his first look at his team during tomorrow night's workout. Coach Tindal will also be making a special appearance on the Coach's Corner with John Rendleman Sunday morning.
