Judge decides on Hard Rock Park bankruptcy

A bankruptcy judge in Delaware said Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach can borrow $1,000,000 to pay workers. This comes after the park's owner filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month. Attendance at the $400,000,000 park fell far below expectations but it hopes to re-open in 2009. Judge Kevin Carey said the park can pay certain expenses, like wages and payroll-related costs of up to $247,000. Carey also said the park could decide what to do about honoring, voiding or refunding annual pass holders.

What exactly does this statement mean? "Carey also said the park could decide what to do about honoring, voiding or refunding annual pass holders." I would love to know what stipulations are put on the park owners as far as these season tickets

Is this not a joke! While Myrtle Beach would benefit from this park the town has spent the last year trying to find every way they could to kill the Bike Rallies that have been going on there for over 20 years. It was this very park that hosted the Harley Davidson exhibition last spring! But Myrtle Beach, ignoring the 60% of businesses that want the Bike Rally to continue, and ignoring warnings from their own town attorney proceeded last week to further attack the Bike Rallies! Let Myrtle Beach Bail them out!
