Kids at a UNCW nursing camp got an exciting visit today.
The Air-Link helicopter from New Hanover Regional Medical Center stopped by Camp Bones, which stands for Brigade of Nurse Exploring Seahawks.
Campers are learning about the world of nursing. Today they got to tour the helicopter and see how it works.
They also got to check out the Vita-Link ambulance.
Students say the camp is a great way to learn about the field of nursing.
Camper Julio Fritze said, "Not many kids have the same experience and you really want to learn from it, so that way you can share your experiences and it's pretty interesting."
Camp Bones serves under-represented middle and high school students from rural areas of the state.
