During a visit to the Scotchman at 898 South Kerr Avenue, an inspector found a moldy onion in the walk-in cooler, nacho chili and cheese were not hot enough, and there was no sanitizer available. Eleven violations in all and a score of 86 for the Scotchman on South Kerr.
There is one high performer in this week's Kitchen Cops report, and it belongs to an eatery that was once a low performer.
This time around, though, the Hilton Garden in at Mayfaire lost just half a point because cleaning is needed in between stove and grill on sides of equipment. Add in a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course, and it's a 101.5 for the Hilton Garden Inn.
