Kitchen Cops 11/6/08

READ MORE:

There are no low performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report. But there are four high performers.

This week's highest score belongs to Temptation's Everyday Gourmet at 8207 Market Street in Porters Neck. The inspector said the staff needs to clean under the grill and between the stove and other equipment under the hood, but no points off. Add in two points for workers passing a food safety course, and it's a 102 for Temptations.

To the other end of New Hanover County and 17th Street Deli & More on Carolina Beach Road. A half point off because workers were not wearing hair restraints. The two-point bonus boosts the score to 101.5.

The same score up the road at Flaming Amy's Bowl on Shipyard Blvd. Just a half point off to clean the wall behind the grill and recaulk the bathroom sinks to the wall.

And a perfect 100 for Little Pond Caterers on Princess Place Drive in Wilmington.

Flaming Amys Bowl Rocks! Best Food Ever!!

Flaming Amys Bowl Rocks! Best Food Ever!! All the food is fresh, hot, good and all the staff are awesome!! Highly reccomend the bowl!!!!

It WAS NASTY

I went to El Cerro Grande over the weekend, and there was a baby roach crawling around in my chip bowl. I had already ate half the chips also. Then picked up a chip and the roach was crawling on it. It was nasty. They should be inspected!
