Kitchen Cops 1/21/10

READ MORE:

One low performer and three high performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report.

The low score belongs to the Scotchman on River Road at US 74/76 in Belville. Four points off because hot dogs, grits and eggs were not hot enough. Four more off because cheese slices and sliced tomatoes were too warm in the prep cooler. Three points off because many soiled dishes were put away as clean and the potato chopper needs cleaning and sanitizing. A bottle of degreaser was sitting out on the prep table. And several things need cleaning. A score of 80 for the scotchman in Belville.

This week's top score belongs to the Taco Bell on South 17th Street in Wilmington. Zero violations plus a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course and a score of 102.

To Downtown Wilmington and the Trolley Stop on North Front Street. A half point off to do some work on the walls in a back room and some other maintenance.

The same score of 99.5 for the Kangaroo Express in Castle Hayne. A half point off because some rusty shelves need replacing.
