Kitchen Cops 1/3/08

Health inspectors did not find any restaurants worthy of high performer status. And there's just one restaurant on this week's Kitchen Cops Low Performers list, and it's a repeat offender.

Ruby Tuesday at Independence Mall scored a 77.5 last spring. On December 27 an inspector marked off five points for crab meat, cheeses and ribs at the wrong temperature. More points of for pans, containers and tongs stored dirty and chicken stored uncovered in the reach-in cooler. Nine violations and 16 points off. A two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course boosts Ruby Tuesday's score to 86.

Kitchen cops

If a resturant or fast food place scores below 90% they should automatically be closed down by the health department because they are dealing with food, also all these nail places that do your nails etc should all be scored and anyone that also scores below 90% should be closed down. I recently went to the China Buffet on Market St and the food was cold even though they had hot water under it the food at these places is always cold.

It's time for repeat offenders like this one to go. I haven't eaten at this specific Ruby Tuesdays (in fact when I did get sick, it was at the location near Walmart), but I hope that they will close it down and re-open with another restaurant (who is staffed with persons capable of understanding food ratings)!

Close 'em down

I agree, repeat offenders should be closed down. I can remember a few years ago, all of my co-workers and I ate there for lunch and most of us ordered a chicken dinner. We all had tummy aches the next day. We called to complain about possible food contamination and the manager wasn't friendly at all over the ordeal.

I won't eat at a place that

Close Em Up!!!

I am with the other person if they cant keep their restaraunt clean then they can either close the doors or not count on me to eat there!!!! I prefer them to close their doors!!!

We saw the sanitation grade

We saw the sanitation grade when it was low, and turned around and walked out the door before being greeted and seated. The hostess stood there behind a dais with her mouth hanging open.

This one hasn't had a good

This one hasn't had a good rating since the beginning. The entire staff should be replaced every time until they learn to get it right.

Close their doors!

If they can't maintain a decent healthscore... CLOSE THEIR DOORS ! With the cost of eating out, the county health dept. needs to focus on getting RID of repeat offenders!!!
