Kitchen Cops 2/18/10

READ MORE:

Another week without any low performers, but the Kitchen Cops did find five high performers.

This week's top score belongs to Little Caesar's on University Drive near UNCW. No violations and a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course and a score of 102.

Tabletalk Café on South Kerr Avenue lost half a point because there was tape on the glass display doors and rusted shelves in the reach-in cooler need to be replaced. Add back the two-point bonus for a score of 101.5.

The same score at Crow Creek Golf Club in Calabash. A half point off because a food thermometer was off five degrees.

Up the road in Supply, a perfect 100 for Mankin's Causeway Café, which is a frequent high performer.

Perfection as well for another repeat high performer: Le Catalan in Downtown Wilmington.

ming yao restaurant

Kitchen cops,

Can someone please check out the restaurant called Ming Yao which is in the shopping center of monkey junction walmart? My friends went in there about a week ago and it had an awful smell and they ended up leaving and not ordering. We were in the area again tonight and went in and it still had a terrible smell inside kinda resembling sewage. Just want to make sure it's up to code and no one is getting sick. Thanks!
