Kitchen Cops 2/28/08

Some good news if you're planning to dine out this weekend: There are no low performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report. There are two high performers here in the Port City. S & L NY Deli on South 17th Street leads the way. The restaurant scored a perfect 100. Add in a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course for a total of 102. And Wormwood's Bar & Grill at 108 Walnut Street downtown lost a half point because it needs to remove outdoor storage. Add back the two-point bonus for a total score of 101.5.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents about WormWoods. They have some of the best affordable food downtown and everything i have had tastes great. I would also like to say they run a very clean place and the staff are friendly. I will check them out again for sure! Go WormWoods!

To the owners and staff of S & L Deli on S17th St. Congratulations. Tammy and Lou and everyone deserves a BIG KUDOS!!. They have Great food, but caution to all you RED SOX fans, S&L being a New York style deli are big fans of the NY Yankees. Just Say GO SOX as you enter the eatery and they will love it! Seriously, if you have not been there before try it they are gracious and the food is GREAT! Congratulations on your 102 score!! Your #1 Red sox Fan, Linda
