A host of high performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report as a recent low performer gets a second chance. The Dairy Queen at the food court in Wilmington's Independence Mall scored an 87 last month. It still has some cleaning to do, including taking care of mold around the faucet of a small rinse sink. But it's a ten-point improvement to 97 for Dairy Queen. To Carolina Beach, where Kate's Breakfast & Lunch lost a half point because of some problems with rust. But a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course. The same score of 101.5 for the Bento Box in the Forum Shops in Wilmington. A half point off for some cleaning needed. Cleaning also cost Rafaella's on Wrightsville Avenue a half point for a score of 101-point-five. To Downtown Wilmington and a perfect score for Pink Pig Café on Princess Street. Perfection as well for Capt'n Bill's Banquet Facility on Market Street. And a half point off and a reminder to store utensils in a clean area for peking wok on Carolina Beach Road for a score of 99.5.
