New Hanover County health inspectors found one establishment worthy of low performer status and one worthy of high performer recognition in this week's Kitchen Cops report.
S&E Food Mart at 6409 Carolina Beach Road lost five points because access to the only handsink was blocked. And five more because no sanitizer was available. Six violations in all and a score of 85 for S&E Food Mart.
Top honors belong to Firehouse Subs at 5920 Carolina Beach Road. Zero violations plus a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course. It adds up to a perfect score of 102.
