No low performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report. But one restaurant did get a second chance with the health inspector.
Last time out Water Street Market in Downtown Wilmington scored an 81 after an inspector found German cockroaches and rodent droppings among other problems. This time there were no droppings, but there were roaches in the kitchen and part of a roach in the silverware tray. Several things also need cleaning. But an improvement to 91.5.
Four New Hanover County restaurants earned high marks in this week's Kitchen Cops report.
We begin by setting sail on the Henrietta III docked in Downtown Wilmington. A half point off because the floor needs to be fixed. But a two-point bonus for workers passing a food safety course.
The same score of 101.5 goes to the Chick-Fil-A in Mayfaire. Just a half point off because storage needs to be removed from the floor.
The staff at the Wilmington Ice House in Ogden need to wear hair restraints. Just a half point off plus a two-point bonus for a 101.5.
And finally a perfect 100 for Scoop Ice Cream and Sandwich on Front Street downtown.
